Recruiting 13-16-year-olds for a dissertation study examining youth advisory board (YAB) methods. Selected youth advisors will serve on a board advising a research study focused on digital and social media and mental health. The R01 NIMH-funded study includes an aim focused on understanding SGM (sexual/gender identity minoritized) youth experiences and will oversample SGM youth, so we hope our YAB demographics are reflective of the study population.
Eligibility criteria for youth advisors:
Youth who are 13-16 years old
Reside in the United States
Internet access to participate in virtual/Zoom meetings (If internet or technology access is a concern, please let us know; we will do our best to address potential access barriers.)

Youth who are selected to join the YAB will be asked to participate in the following activities:
Join a YAB that meets six times on Zoom (90 minutes each).
Do activities like icebreakers, learning about youth leadership, and giving feedback on a digital media and mental health study.
Fill out short surveys after each meeting.
Complete a one-hour exit interview at the end of study participation.
Compensation includes up to $255.
