The Harn’s collection totals more than 9,000 objects including African, Asian, modern and contemporary art, and photography with significant representations of Ancient American and oceanic art, as well as a growing collection of natural history works on paper.
Art Cart Experiences + Scavenger Hunts - Unleash your inner artist by participating in one of our art experiences! The Art Cart offers art activities, tactile opportunities, games and more for all visitors inspired by objects on view and in our collection. We also offer scavenger hunts to take into the galleries to engage conversation and spark excitement.
Museum Day
Museum Days are free programs offered throughout the year that revolve around designated exhibitions and themes. All ages and family dynamics are welcome to join us for a family-friendly tour and art activity on program dates.
Tot Times
Explore color, shape, pattern and other "tot interest" during this free program for children ages 2–5 and their caregivers. Tots will tour the Harn with a museum educator then participate in age-appropriate hands-on art projects. Space is limited. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to start time to register.
Family Gallery Guides
Family guides are available in the museum at the Visitor Services Desk. These guides create an engaging experience of our exhibitions, keeping your child’s interest while supporting conversations about how art objects are made or about the people who made them.
