At ACT, our Creekside Environmental Education for Kids (CrEEK) Program is proud to serve around 2,200 K-12 students from Title I schools and summer camps in Gainesville and Putnam counties at Little Orange Creek Nature Park each school year.
CrEEK connects students from underserved communities with the basics of STEM disciplines, such as biology or wetland ecology, through hands-on learning experiences designed to work alongside education standards. These field trips and school visits are completely free to both students and schools.
The program's focus on environmental education and community outreach creates long-term impact and supports conservation efforts by creating future environmental stewards.
