Gainesville Autism Play & Connect

This group was created to help autism families in Gainesville and throughout Alachua County build the kind of community many of us have been searching for.
Our goal is to bring families together through relaxed, informal meetups in public, safe spaces where children can play at their own pace while parents and caregivers connect.

Whether your child prefers to play alongside others, interact occasionally, or simply explore independently, they are welcome here. There are no expectations, no structured activities, and no pressure; just a supportive environment where everyone can feel comfortable.

As caregivers, we know this journey can sometimes feel isolating. My hope is that this group becomes a place where we can build genuine friendships, share local resources, exchange ideas and experiences, encourage each other through the highs and lows of parenting.

Meetups will be held at safe public spaces around Gainesville and Alachua County. We welcome suggestions for locations, dates, and activities!
