Zero Hour Life Center is a nonprofit “Recovery Community Organization” in Florida whose mission is to support people in recovery from substance use (often also dealing with homelessness or reentry) by providing services that bridge the gap between professional treatment and long-term wellness.
Peer Recovery Supports & Coaching
One-on-one peer recovery coaches help individuals using lived experience to guide, encourage, and assist people seeking recovery. Virtual or In-person.
They also offer peer support meetings and foster a community of recovery via social connections (sober events, etc.).
Re-Entry / Bridge Programs
There are programs to support individuals leaving incarceration (“Criminal Offender Re-Entry Initiative / Second Chances”), as well as “Jail Bridge” and “Hospital Bridge” programs to help with transitions from jail or hospital back into the community and to connect with recovery supports.
Youth / Prevention
They run a “Teen Recovery Support Program” (for teens approximately 12-17) to help with substance use education, peer support, etc.
Respite Services
They operate a Respite House (in Citrus County) to offer temporary supportive space for people in recovery or caregivers.
Community Engagement & Events
They host sober social events, recovery community gatherings, educational/training opportunities, and outreach.
