Fandomonium is back! Join us at the Headquarters Library for the return of this free, all-ages fan convention. Come dressed as your favorite character and enter our cosplay contest. Rally your best and brightest to compete as a team at fandom trivia. Peruse goods from local vendors. We’ll have special guest speakers, panels, games, and more!

Guest Speaker - Kevin Thelwell

Thelwell will be signing autographs and answering your fan questions from 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Kevin D. Thelwell is a Caribbean American voice actor who's worked in the gaming, dubbing, commercial industries, and more. His recent works include voicing Zeus in One Piece, Kita in Haikyuu, Haruto in the currently airing Am I actually the strongest?, and as well as the Team Aqua Grunts in Pokemon Masters EX. He also assistant directs anime dubs at Crunchyroll, with credits including Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch of Mercury, Blue Lock, the currently airing Ayaka and My Tiny Senpai, as well as much more. When it comes to voicing the goofiest of dudes, the kindest sounding boys, and even being on the other side of the booth, Kevin's your guy!

Events

Join us for some (or all) of the great events planned during Fandomonium. Full schedule and exact locations in the building to be announced, so stay tuned!


Costume Contest

The contest will be divided up by age group: Kids (ages 1-11), Teens (ages 12-17), and Adults (ages 18+).

In addition to the age groups, there will also be a Masterclass group. To participate in this group of the competition, participants must have created at least 50% of their costume themselves.

  • Cosplays must adhere to the Fandomonium costume policy at all times
  • There will be a prop check to enter the main event and an additional prop check will take place prior to the Costume Contest
  • Participants must sign a release form for photos to be taken at the event

Design Your Own Characters!

11:30 a.m. in Meeting Room B

An introduction to character design from Roxanne Palmer, cartoonist and graduate of the Sequential Artists Workshop. Artists of all ages can expect a crash course in bringing distinctive characters to life in any style. No drawing experience necessary, drawing materials provided (but you’re welcome to bring your own as well!)

The Process and Making of Cosplay Performance

1:30 p.m. in Meeting Room B

Have you ever wondered what goes into making cosplay performances? Ever wanted to put one on for yourself? Join Cospoi to learn about their design and choreography process, pick up tips and tricks, and find out how an idea becomes a full-length show on your local con stages!


Pokémon Go Meet-Up

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Teen Space

Calling all Pokémon Go trainers! Stop by the Teen Space to meet other local Pokémon Go players. We will be putting out lures throughout the day, and Pokémon Go Fest Global will be taking place with rotating habitats on the hour. Fill out a card with your friend code to find new local gamers to battle and trade with.

These events are for all ages. There will be two separate levels of difficulty to accommodate as many fans as possible.

A: No, a wide variety of fandoms will be included in our Trivia Contest.

Q: What trivia platform is being used for the event?

A: We will be using Kahootz!

A: No, depending on the amount of participants, participants can play as either teams or individuals.
