Adam R. Thayer Scholarship Fund
We are pleased to announce the second annual Adam R. Thayer Scholarship in honor of our beloved colleague, Adam Thayer. Adam was the Director of Information Technology at Goodwill Industries of North Florida, when he unexpectedly passed away in February 2020. He was passionate about Goodwill’s mission to help remove barriers to employment. He was also a strong proponent of education, community service and helping others to succeed. Adam R. Thayer Scholarship Fund awards a $5,000 scholarship to a college-bound high school senior, or active Goodwill employee based on demonstrated academic achievement, financial need, and community service record.
The scholarship will be awarded on an annual basis and disbursed in equal payments in August and January. Students must continue to attend classes and maintain no lower than a 2.5 grade-point average (or equivalent).
