Alachua County Library 1000 Books Before Kindergarten

The concept is simple, the rewards are priceless. This program encourages you to read books – any books – to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler. The goal is to have read 1,000 books before your little one starts kindergarten. Reading together helps develop important pre-reading skills that provide a solid reading foundation – a key to school and learning success. Plus, sharing stories together is fun!
