The Harn Museum of Art at the University of Florida is an 112,800-square-foot-facility, which includes 40,400 square foot of exhibition space, 5 garden spaces, a 250-seat auditorium, study and library center, museum store, café and classroom spaces. The Harn’s collection totals more than 9,000 objects including African, Asian, modern and contemporary art, and photography with significant representations of Ancient American and oceanic art, as well as a growing collection of natural history works on paper.
Family Gallery Guides - Family guides are available in the museum and on-line for you to use. These guides create an engaging experience of our exhibitions, keeping your child’s interest while supporting conversations about how art objects are made or about the people who made them.
"Always On" Art Experiences + Scavenger Hunts - Unleash your inner artist by participating in one of our “always-on” art experiences! The Bishop Study Center offers art activities for all visitors inspired by objects on view and in our collection. We develop new activities to compliment changing exhibits, techniques and media.
We also offer scavenger hunts to take into the galleries to engage conversation and spark excitement. Our scavenger hunts rotate throughout the year and vary in theme.
The Harn offers docent-led tours with a discussion and inquiry-based learning approach for students in all grade levels and subject areas. Choose from one of our “School Tour Programs” or customize your visit to directly relate to themes and topics being explored in your classroom. School groups may tour the museum Tuesday - Friday 10:30 am to 3 pm.
