ACPS Driver Education Summer Program
Welcome to the Driver Education Summer Course. This short memo has been prepared to help make your experience as safe, enjoyable, and rewarding as possible. When satisfactorily completed, you will earn one half (.5) unweighted high school elective credit.
No school board transportation to or from site.
Course includes the Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education Course which is required for a learner’s permit.
Students do not need a learner’s permit to start class. Students without a learner's permit will receive it after the first week at the Tax Collector's Office on Saturday, June 8, 2024.
Classes are filled on first come, first served basis.
Students earn half credit and "DMV" testing waivers. Students are tested by our instructors.
It’s important that you are on time and attend every day. Summer school lasts 22 days: we meet Monday-Friday. You must attend the session you are assigned to.
