 e brick at a time.\n\nThe Bricks & Minifigs Gainesville STEM Builders Club 
 is a weekly, hands-on STEM program for elementary-aged students that uses L
 EGO bricks to make science, technology, engineering, and math engaging and 
 memorable.\n\nThe program meets Wednesdays from 3:00-4:30 PM, beginning Sep
 tember 9, 2026, and follows a monthly STEM theme with seasonal and holiday 
 activities. Sessions range from simple activities led by trained teen staff
  to more advanced, instructor-led challenges requiring adult guidance.\n\nS
 ept. 9th: LEGO Volcano Lab - Students build a LEGO volcano around a small c
 ontainer and conduct a baking soda and vinegar eruption. The session emphas
 izes prediction, observation, and recording results.\n\nSept. 16th: LEGO So
 il Layers - Students investigate soil as a layered natural resource and bui
 ld a LEGO representation of a soil profile.\n\nSept. 23rd: LEGO Solar Syste
 m - Students create a LEGO model of the solar system and explore the order 
 of the planets, relative scale, and the concept of orbit.\n\nSept. 30th: LE
 GO Layers of the Earth - Students build a LEGO cross-section of Earth and e
 xplore the crust, mantle, outer core, and inner core. The activity introduc
 es the idea that scientists use evidence and models to understand parts of 
 Earth that cannot be directly observed.
