DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:We are a newly formed nature immersion program located in Gainesville, FL. 
 Our Prairie Babies program is designed for children ages 0-2 and follows th
 e forest school model for education. This means our program is entirely out
 doors and uses free play in nature to guide our classes. Our outdoor classr
 oom is located in the Serenola Forest Neighborhood on the south side of Gai
 nesville, with hikes through Serenola Forest and a few site visits to neigh
 boring natural areas. <br /><br />Our Philosophy:<br />At Prairie’s Edge Fo
 rest School, we believe that children are not simply “adults-in-training” b
 ut are important people in our social and ecological community. They should
  be listened to, valued, and respected. This idea drives our approach to le
 arning as the instructors at PEFS follow the child’s interest and allow pla
 y to drive our agenda.<br /><br />New Fall Sessions!<br />Session 1: Saturd

 m – Nature Dens: Preparing for Winter’s sleep<br />Session 4: Sunday, Decem
 ber 7th, 12-1:30 pm – Welcoming Winter: Forest Crafts and Light Exploration
 <br /><br />Cost: $25 per guided nature-based immersion and sensory play se
 ssion (or $90 for all 4 sessions)<br /><br />Cost is per family – More than
  1 caregiver and child can be included in a family. <br /><br />Location:  
 The location may vary for each session date, but will be held at either one
  of our Forest School locations in south Gainesville.  Details and directio
 ns to location will be provided a few days before the session date.<br /><b
 r />Prairie Buds (3-5) and Prairie Babies (0-2) classes are taught by Jorda
 n Evans who has obtained her certificate in Horticultural Therapy from the 
 University of Florida and is currently pursuing registration with the AHTA
