The day kicks off
with a celebratory march, starting at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community
Center (25515 NW 6th Ave, Newberry, FL 32669) at 11 am. We'll gather for a
group photo before the Newberry Fire Department leads us on a meaningful jo
urney to the Mentholee Norfleet Municipal Building (25420 West Newberry Roa
d, Newberry, FL 32669).
The program begins at 12:00 PM at the Me
ntholee Norfleet Community Center. We're thrilled to have Marsha Kiner, Exe
cutive Director of the Children's Trust of Alachua County, as our keynote s
peaker. Her remarkable achievements and dedication to our community make he
r an inspiring voice.
Marsha Kiner is a trailblazer, being the f
irst African American and woman in the history of the Association of Florid
a Colleges to hold the position of Executive Director/CEO. Her accolades in
clude the Certified Association Executive designation and being named the A
ssociation Executive of the Year by the Florida Society of Association Exec
utives in 2020.
