e brick at a time.

The Bricks & Minifigs Gainesville STEM Builde
rs Club is a weekly, hands-on STEM program for elementary-aged students tha
t uses LEGO bricks to make science, technology, engineering, and math engag
ing and memorable.

The program meets Wednesdays from 3:00-4:30 P
M, beginning September 9, 2026, and follows a monthly STEM theme with seaso
nal and holiday activities. Sessions range from simple activities led by tr

volcano around a small container and conduct a baking soda and vinegar erup

.

Sept. 16th: LEGO Soil Layers - Students investigate soil as a
layered natural resource and build a LEGO representation of a soil profile.

Sept. 23rd: LEGO Solar System - Students create a LEGO model of
the solar system and explore the order of the planets, relative scale, and
 the concept of orbit.

Sept. 30th: LEGO Layers of the Earth - St
udents build a LEGO cross-section of Earth and explore the crust, mantle, o
uter core, and inner core. The activity introduces the idea that scientists
use evidence and models to understand parts of Earth that cannot be direct
ly observed.
