 l organization. Founded in 1798, the band has performed for every U.S. Pres
 ident since John Adams. Known as “The President’s Own” since the days of Th
 omas Jefferson, the Marine Band’s mission is to provide music for the Presi
 dent of the United States and the Commandant of the Marine Corps.<br /><br 
 />Marine Band Director Lt. Col. Ryan Nowlin has programmed musical selectio
 ns in the style of the band’s 17th Director, John Philip Sousa, who initiat
 ed the concert tour tradition in 1891. Expect a mix of works, including tra
 ditional band repertoire, Sousa marches, contemporary compositions, vocal a
 nd instrumental solos, and a patriotic salute to the Armed Forces.<br /><br
  />This concert is part of the 2026 United States Marine Band National Conc
 ert Tour.
