 GFAA Gallery. The GFAA board and staff will not just be hosting a kickoff p
 arty this year. For the first time, GFAA will present an exhibit of works o
 f all thirty-one artists who are participating in the Studio Tour weekend. 
 \n \n“The GFAA Artist Studio Tour is a unique opportunity for artists to sh
 are their complete body of work with art lovers and collectors. Art brings 
 people together, prompts new connections and refreshes friendships. We all 
 need the power of art to connect us right now,” shares Sue Kelman, a return
 ing artist this year and former president of the GFAA board of directors. \
 n \nArtwork created by the Studio Tour artists will be on display in the Ma
 in Gallery as the seasonal Friday night Artwalk buzzes outside and througho
 ut downtown Gainesville. In addition to the Studio Tour artists, an exhibit
  by Oak Hammock residents, Art in the Hammock, will also be open for viewin
 g. Both exhibits will close on June 19th. \n \nArtwalk Gainesville is a sel
 f-guided art experience of local galleries, artist studios, and cultural ev
 ents in beautiful Gainesville, Florida on the last Friday of each month fro
 m 7-10pm Artwalk Director Frank Curtis has participated the Studio Art Tour
  and “really enjoy visiting my artistic friends. As the director of Artwalk
 , we work hand-in-hand with venues like the GFAA.” \n \nThe Studio Tour Kic
 koff Party will be held at the GFAA Gallery on Friday, May 29th, from 6 pm 
 to 8 pm, and refreshments will be sponsored by Five Star Pizza, First Magni
 tude Brewing Company, Vine Sourdough Bakery, East End Eatery, and Publix. T
 he Gallery will remain open until 10 pm for Artwalk attendees.\n \nThen, on
  Saturday and Sunday, May 30th and 31st, 2026, these thirty-one artists wil
 l display their work and processes to the public at 24 different sites thro
 ughout the Gainesville area for the annual GFAA Artist Studio Tour. Artist 
 studios will be open each day from 10am to 5pm. Maps and artist information
  are available at www.gfaastudiotour.org. Hyatt Place, Downtown Gainesville
 , is the host hotel for this weekend long event. \n \nPaper maps are also a
