  art and artists, music, food and community at the 54th annual Santa Fe Col
 lege Spring Arts Festival at the Northwest Campus.\n\n=It promises to be th
 e most vibrant weekend of the season. See what you can discover when you ex
 plore the more than 150 artists, student arts, musical and dance performanc
 es, children’s activities and even a train ride to the Santa Fe College Tea
 ching Zoo.\n\nThis year’s poster artist is Florida native Veronica Steiner.
  This wildlife surrealist combines Florida-based fauna and flora with a pas
 sion to protect the Sunshine State. Her beautiful portrait of Swallowtail K
 ites graces this year’s poster.\n\nFor the second time, Spring Arts Festiva
 l will also feature an artist-in-residence. Elena Ohlander of Jacksonville 
 will create a mural over the course of the two-day festival that will becom
 e a feature of the college’s significant art collection. This international
 ly featured mixed-media artist says “there is a whimsy, curiosity and cultu
 ral references” driving her work.\n\n“Artists and craftspeople from across 
 the country and around the world will highlight their talents in mediums in
 cluding painting, watercolor, sculpture, photography, wood, jewelry, glass,
  ceramics and more,” said SF Director of Cultural Affairs Kyle Novak. "As w
 e prepare for the 54th Annual Spring Arts Festival we're so excited to cont
 inue to share and grow the legacy of this incredible event.”\n\nThe event f
 eatures juried artists competing for cash and prizes, community artists and
  more than 50 highly talented student artists. In addition, there will be t
 wo days of curated musical performances on two stages, as well as children’
 s activities, including a highly popular treasure hunt.\n\nDuring the event
 , participants can also attend the SF Teaching Zoo and the Kika Silva Pla P
 lanetarium, both ticketed venues.\n\nFinally, everyone can find their favor
 ites in the Food Truck Court, which will feature regional and international
  cuisines.\n\nEnjoy ample, convenient and free parking on the Santa Fe Coll
 ege Campus. RTS will provide free buses on festival weekend.
