  art and artists, music, food and community at the 54th annual Santa Fe Col
 lege Spring Arts Festival at the Northwest Campus.<br /><br />=It promises 
 to be the most vibrant weekend of the season. See what you can discover whe
 n you explore the more than 150 artists, student arts, musical and dance pe
 rformances, children’s activities and even a train ride to the Santa Fe Col
 lege Teaching Zoo.<br /><br />This year’s poster artist is Florida native V
 eronica Steiner. This wildlife surrealist combines Florida-based fauna and 
 flora with a passion to protect the Sunshine State. Her beautiful portrait 
 of Swallowtail Kites graces this year’s poster.<br /><br />For the second t
 ime, Spring Arts Festival will also feature an artist-in-residence. Elena O
 hlander of Jacksonville will create a mural over the course of the two-day 
 festival that will become a feature of the college’s significant art collec
 tion. This internationally featured mixed-media artist says “there is a whi
 msy, curiosity and cultural references” driving her work.<br /><br />“Artis
 ts and craftspeople from across the country and around the world will highl
 ight their talents in mediums including painting, watercolor, sculpture, ph
 otography, wood, jewelry, glass, ceramics and more,” said SF Director of Cu
 ltural Affairs Kyle Novak. "As we prepare for the 54th Annual Spring Arts F
 estival we're so excited to continue to share and grow the legacy of this i
 ncredible event.”<br /><br />The event features juried artists competing fo
 r cash and prizes, community artists and more than 50 highly talented stude
 nt artists. In addition, there will be two days of curated musical performa
 nces on two stages, as well as children’s activities, including a highly po
 pular treasure hunt.<br /><br />During the event, participants can also att
 end the SF Teaching Zoo and the Kika Silva Pla Planetarium, both ticketed v
 enues.<br /><br />Finally, everyone can find their favorites in the Food Tr
 uck Court, which will feature regional and international cuisines.<br /><br
  />Enjoy ample, convenient and free parking on the Santa Fe College Campus.
  RTS will provide free buses on festival weekend.
