 t, Todd Shanks, and a piece by our founder, Nina Cameron, that will be rest
 aged on a new generation, as we carry on her legacy of love.\n\nThe perform
 ance also includes The Danscompany’s annual “State of Wonder” which feature
 s original music by Florida composer, Dave LaGrande and songs by local band
 , Sister Hazel.\n\nEnjoy original jazz, lyrical, tap and contemporary movem
 ent as we take a fictional journey with young Marj basking in the sun on th
 e beach with jazzy tourists as she gets pulled into a riptide and the state
  comes alive with magic. On her adventure, we meet the Mermaids of Weeki Wa
 chee Springs, swashbuckling Buccaneers, flocks of birds, sea turtles, seagr
 ass showgirls, our Manatee MC Fresh of the Club Tropicana and more.\n\nInsp
 ired by the works of incredible activist and writer Marjorie Stoneman Dougl
 as, Marj learns the importance of caring for the natural world around us as
  the Wise Oak Tree comes to life and warns her to leave no trace.\n\nFunded
