 Own Superhero Workshop (60 min). This event is presented in collaboration w
 ith, and support from, Special Collections at the University of Florida Sma
 thers Libraries. The event is geared toward children, but all ages are welc
 ome.\n\nNikkolas will speak to the participants about his journey as an art
 ist and his relationship with Superheroes. He will talk about his work on s
 uperhero movies and re-imagining superheroes for apparel and books. He will
  discuss what a superhero is and how we can all be superheroes. Participant
 s will create their own superhero (based on a self-portrait or a superhero 
 or a specific character they want to focus on). Nikkolas will guide attende
 es with some tips while he draws something as well. Participants will have 
 an opportunity to show their Superhero and share what inspired them to crea
 te it.\n\nNikkolas Smith is an Artivist, picture book author, and Hollywood
  film illustrator. He is the author-illustrator of the USA TODAY bestsellin
