SUMMARY:Prairie’s Edge Forest School: Prairie Babies Sessions

DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:We are a newly formed nature immersion program located in Gainesville, FL. 
 Our Prairie Babies program is designed for children ages 0-2 and follows th
 e forest school model for education. This means our program is entirely out
 doors and uses free play in nature to guide our classes. Our outdoor classr
 oom is located in the Serenola Forest Neighborhood on the south side of Gai
 nesville, with hikes through Serenola Forest and a few site visits to neigh
 boring natural areas. \n\nOur Philosophy:\nAt Prairie’s Edge Forest School,
  we believe that children are not simply “adults-in-training” but are impor
 tant people in our social and ecological community. They should be listened
  to, valued, and respected. This idea drives our approach to learning as th
 e instructors at PEFS follow the child’s interest and allow play to drive o
 ur agenda.\n\nNew Fall Sessions!\nSession 1: Saturday, September 27th, 12-1
 :30 pm – Autumn’s Embrace: A Harvest Gathering\nSession 2: Saturday, Octobe
 r 18th, 12-1:30 pm– The Grove of Nature Spirits: Discover your inner magic\
 nSession 3: Sunday, November 9th, 12-1:30 pm – Nature Dens: Preparing for W
 inter’s sleep\nSession 4: Sunday, December 7th, 12-1:30 pm – Welcoming Wint
 er: Forest Crafts and Light Exploration\n\nCost: $25 per guided nature-base
 d immersion and sensory play session (or $90 for all 4 sessions)\n\nCost is
  per family – More than 1 caregiver and child can be included in a family.

 d at either one of our Forest School locations in south Gainesville.  Detai

 n date.\n\nPrairie Buds (3-5) and Prairie Babies (0-2) classes are taught b
 y Jordan Evans who has obtained her certificate in Horticultural Therapy fr
 om the University of Florida and is currently pursuing registration with th
