 hs, then you have probably heard of the Facebook Group “Florida: A History 
 in Pictures.” Started years ago, by Jeff Davies and Mike McGinness group me
 mbers are asked to share photos of Florida from when the camera was invente
 d until just before Walt Disney arrived. The group has grown to over 300,00
 0 members today with photos being shared every day.\n\nIn 2022 Jeff and Mik
 e wanted to find a way to thank the group members for their continued suppo
 rt and decided to write a book. "Florida: A History in Pictures" was publis
 hed in September 2023 and includes photos from historical institutions, inc
 luding the Matheson History Museum, and personal photos from the group’s me
 mbers. Jeff and Mike are in the process of writing a second book.\n\nTheir 
 presentation will focus on historical milestones and structures in Florida 
 and how the growing Facebook group has now birthed two books.\n\nThis progr
