 he shore of Newnan’s Lake and a great spot to look for fall migrants. <br /
 ><br />Meeting Point: Trailhead at parking lot of Palm Point Park at 7401 L
 ake Shore Dr. <br /><br />Trail Conditions: one mile or less of mostly shad
 e, walking along mulched trail at Palm Point and along grass/boardwalk at P
 owers Park. Restrooms available at Powers Park. <br /><br />Parking: Park i
 n the small lot or if full, you can park off the shoulder of Lakeshore Driv
 e. Large parking lot at Powers Park. No fee. <br /><br />What to Expect:<br
  />We'll explore the looped trail and Lake Shore Dr for migrant warblers, f
 lycatchers, and other songbirds in the live oaks, sweetgums, sugarberry, an
 d cypress trees. We’ll also scan the lake for migrating Black Terns, swallo
 ws, and any possible lingering storm birds. <br /><br />Depending on our su
 ccess/bird activity at Palm Point, we may continue on to nearby Earl P Powe
 rs Park (5910 SE Hawthorne Rd) to bird along the canal and pier at the sout

 ua Audubon's birding group for women who enjoy exploring the outdoors with 
 a welcoming and safe community. Although the group is reserved for women, w
 e encourage our members to bring guests (of any gender) who share a love of
  nature to all of our events!<br /><br />Birders of all ability levels and 
 non-members are welcome.
