Fishing for Success hosts monthly events that provide families the opportunity to fish together in a safe and fun setting at the 6 heavily stocked "catching ponds" on the grounds of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences. As always, all family members, including those with disabilities, are encouraged to participate! Volunteers are on hand to help with baiting hooks and releasing fish. Participants are welcome to bring and use their personal equipment/bait or use any program resources offered. No need to RSVP for events unless your group has more than 10 people.
If you could bring your empty aluminum cans, we would greatly appreciate them! We will recycle them and use the money for bait and tackle.
We will also have dipnets and pans available, along with help, so that budding biologists will have a chance to collect critters from our dipping ponds.
