A magical holiday treat awaits at Holiday Lights in the Thomas Center Gardens, a special event on Dec. 4 from 6-8 PM. This annual tradition features an enchanted wonderland of illuminations in the famous Thomas Center Gardens. Stroll through the paths lit by thousands of colored lights twinkling from trees, enjoy free cookies and cider and a variety of musical entertainment. Indoors, the stately holiday tree is provided by the Thomas Center Associates. Welcome the holidays with the City of Gainesville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Dept. and the Duckpond Neighborhood Association. The neighborhood will be lit by hundreds of luminaries provided by the Duckpond Neighborhood Assocation, along with carriage rides for a five-dollar-per-person donation.

As a special treat, Bears and Lions perform at the Bo Diddley Plaza from 4:30-5:30 PM. See them at the Plaza and then head to the Thomas Center for the light event.
