We will traverse the orange trail through longleaf sandhill habitat, flatwoods, wetlands, and mesic hammock and along the shoreline of Moss Lee Lake. Fox Pen Preserve hosts the North Florida Sandhills Grassland Bird Habitat Restoration site where ACT has restored grasses and reintroduced fire through prescribed burns to support species like Northern Bobwhite, Common Nighthawk, and Bachman's Sparrow.
