The University of Florida Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Tiffany Lu, presents a Concert for a Cause.
This special performance features:
Tragic Overture – Johannes Brahms
Piano Concerto No. 1, Op. 23 – Pyotr Tchaikovsky
Pianist Evan Mitchell, lauded for his “impassioned and vigorous” playing, joins the orchestra for Tchaikovsky’s iconic concerto. Mitchell has performed internationally and is an Assistant Professor at the University of Florida’s School of Music.
The orchestra performs a wide range of symphonic repertoire, from classical masterworks to contemporary compositions, and is dedicated to enriching the learning of symphonic music through performance.
Concert for a Cause: Proceeds support Made for More, a Gainesville organization that provides mentorship and guidance for student-athletes, helping them grow spiritually, academically, and athletically.
A free-will offering will be received. If you are unable to attend, contributions may be made online via the church website using PushPay—select “Concert for a Cause—Made for More” under Giving Type.
