Celebrate Earth Day in Gainesville with a series of fun events and activities! For kids, we have an Earth Day Art Contest. For adults, the Earth Day Recognition Awards honor our neighbors, local businesses and city staff who are working to make our city a better place. Then join us on Earth Day, April 22, at 10 a.m. for a proclamation, the awards ceremony and a tree giveaway at Martin Luther King Jr. Center!
