Want to be a scientist? Join us for our Citizen Science Sundays for Kids! Middle School-aged kids (accompanied by an adult) will be able to learn in depth about our local ecosystem here at Hogtown Creek Headwaters Nature Park!
Here in Gainesville, a beautiful system of creeks and streams surrounds us and gives our ecosystem life and water, but have you ever wanted to dive more into the topic of stream science and how we affect our creeks? Join us for our Citizen Science Sunday for Kids! Learn about what lives in and around our creeks, what makes a creek healthy, how we can help our backyard creeks, and play some fun creek-themed games!
Registration is required for all children and guardians in attendance. Portions of this program are inside and outside. Comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, bug spray, water, and mask are recommended. Meeting site is at the Hogtown Creek Headwaters Nature Center, the old farmhouse at the front of the park! Arrive promptly at 10 am so you don’t miss out on the fun!
