September 11 Memorial Event and Stair Climb

Alachua County Fire Rescue would like to invite Firefighters, First Responders, Law Enforcement, Military members and citizens to join the annual stair climb at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Monday, September 11th, as we remember the men and women who lost their lives in the events that took place on September 11th, 2001.

Annually, firefighters across our nation pay respects to those affected by the events on September 11th by participating in a stair climb of 2,226 steps to replicate reaching the top of the World Trade Center.

Please come in Gate 18. The stair climb will begin at 0900.
