UNA- USA Gainesville Chapter - Essay Competition
Theme: Review the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations and write your essay on the goal that is most interesting to you.
The application is open to all middle school students in Alachua County.
For essay competition for middle schoolers:
• Essay should be between 100 – 200 words that addresses the goal you have chosen
• Submit essay in 12 font Times New Roman or Arial via email in PDF or Word Doc format.
• Include name, grade & school in the heading of the essay and email with subject line “UNA-USA Essay Competition 2025: [Name, Grade]”
Awards:
1st Prize: $300
2nd Prize: $200
3rd Prize: $100
Winning essays will be featured in the Alachua Chronicle
