Volunteer leaders

As the life blood of March of Dimes, these individuals commit a year or more to serving in defined roles on a market board and/or campaign committees, helping to advise us on fundraising, movement and mission impact goals to improve the health of every family. The work of the March of Dimes could not happen without our Volunteer Leaders.

Volunteer awards and recipients

Volunteer leaders have always been a vital factor in March of Dimes success, past, present and future. In recognition of the critical role these volunteers play, we are pleased to share our national volunteer leadership award recipients for 2022.

These awards celebrate outstanding leadership in raising revenue and awareness, creating a mission impact and working in partnership with volunteer leaders for healthy moms and strong babies.

The Golzs actively led the development of a venture philanthropy fund, the March of Dimes Innovation Fund, created to solve the world’s most pressing maternal and infant health challenges by developing therapeutics and diagnostics.
Beth is the Chair of the DMV Market Board. Prior, she was chair of the Signature Chefs event, and through a multi-year strategy she grew the event to more than double its revenue in 4 years. She became the first Roosevelt Society donor for the market.

Dr. Ying Lily Higgins shares her expertise as a pediatrician and an insurer to educate staff and volunteers on maternal and newborn health. She looks for opportunities to incorporate March of Dimes with her work around racial and ethnic disparities.
Skye works tirelessly in her position as co-chair of the Mom and Baby Action Network’s (M-BAN) Environmental Justice Working Group, which she’s helped grow into a powerful group to move policy, systems and solutions forward.
