Miss Cara is a piano teacher in NW Gainesville with a private studio in her home. She holds a degree in Elementary Education and a Master's in Church Music: Organ concentrate from Concordia University-Wisconsin. She has played piano since she was 6 years old and has enjoyed teaching private piano lessons on-and-off for 10 years. Currently, Miss Cara runs the music program at Zion Lutheran Church and is the director of Smart Start at Zion's music and movement classes.
Working with children and teaching music is her passion. She uses an eclectic approach to instruction, teaching from the Faber method but also outside the "box", incorporating other instruments like the hand drum and ukulele to teach rhythm and theory. Music lessons are not boring and her kind and gentle approach is sure to help the student grow to love music.
She is currently taking in more students, ages 4-100! Homeschooling students welcome, as she is able to teach midday into the afternoon.
