
Interested in getting more exercise with your child? Families needed to help design a mobile app for physical activity
Researchers are looking for feedback on an app that we are making to help increase physical activity for families.
Each family (one parent and one child) will discuss their opinions on the app and test how well it works in their day-to-day life. Only one parent and one child per family may participate.
Participants will be asked to participate in:
-3 brief sessions where parents and children give feedback about our app and program (choice of Zoom or in person)
-2-week test of our app at home
Each family will receive:
-$30 for each meeting attended, for total possible earnings of $90 if all meetings attended
Location
-Choice of study sessions via Zoom or at UF’s College of Health and Human Performance
- 2 weeks of app testing at home
Are you eligible?
-Parent/guardian: 18-65 years old
-Child: 9-12 years old
-Use an Apple or Android device with a reliable data plan or Wi-Fi
-Parent has an active Facebook account
-Both are able to speak and read English
-Live within 25 miles of UF campus
