Fred Cone Park

Featuring an eight-lane, competition-quality, 440-meter rubberized track and interior field, Fred Cone Park is the premier track in Gainesville.
This is the first track and field facility in the tri-county area that is open to the public. The interior of the track includes field event areas such as the pole vault, shot put, high jump and long jump and a multi-purpose field. Two basketball courts are located in the southeast portion of the park.
Additional parking and a picnic area are also provided. There are grills, a pavilion and a playground.
Dogs are allowed with a leash.
A branch location of the Alachua County Library District, Cone Park Branch, is located here.
Fred Cone Park is also an edible grove, where neighbors are welcome to pick and eat mulberries, peaches and loquats. Please do not take more than your fair share.
