Happy Haven Homeschoolers, LLC- Book Club and STEAM Class
CREDENTIALS & POD DESCRIPTION:
Hi! My name is Alicia Stevens, I am a certified teacher in grades K-6, with nearly 10 years of teaching experience. I am also both reading and ESOL endorsed.

Classes will consist of both reading and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics) activities utilizing Blooms Taxonomy of Learning for in depth lessons that are taught in a fun and engaging way for all learning types.

Please have your child bring their book to each class. We will read a bit during each session. A chunk of the chapters will be read at home prior to class time. This way, our time together can primarily be utilized for book discussions, comprehension, vocabulary, writing, and/or other STEAM activities and experiments.

I will ask that you will provide your child with the assigned book for the 4-week-session by either purchasing it, or renting it from the public library. If you have trouble locating a book, please let me know. All STEAM materials will be covered by both the teacher and the $20 fee that is due on January 1st. This will help to cover your child’s materials for the entire spring semester. I also, will always accept recyclable materials that you may find around your house to utilize for STEAM lessons. :) Feel free to reach out to me if you have materials you'd like to donate.
