Williams Elementary Magnet Leadership Academy for Gifted Students
The Magnet Leadership Academy for Gifted Students offers an all day interdisciplinary curriculum focused on individual educational goals.   Teachers work together to plan a progressive curriculum with emphasis on creativity, self-esteem, higher-level thinking, interpersonal relationships, and organizational skills. Integrated thematic units are based around in-depth social studies and science.   Our teachers offer a tailored instruction based on individual student assessments and interests.   Some gifted students are able to work quickly because they grasp instructions and concepts easily.   Simply increasing the workload to keep these students busy is not in their best interests.   Providing a challenging learning experience involves much more!   Differentiated instruction may include: acceleration of instruction, in-depth studies, a higher degree of complexity, advanced content, and real-world problem solving opportunities.
