Howard Bishop Middle School: Summer Band Academy
We hope you will join us for the 2024 Howard Bishop Summer Band Academy from June 10-21, 2024! Don’t miss out on a week of action-packed music, learning, excitement and fun!
Students who participate in the Summer Band Academy receive 4 hours of instruction daily from a staff of highly trained music educators with over 70 combined years of teaching experience. In addition many Bishop Band Alumni who are members of our local award-winning high school band programs volunteer as well. No other summer band program in the area is able to offer that! Students work in both small and large groups and receive instruction on basic music fundamentals, music theory and performance skills. Effective practice habits are also taught during small group work.
The tuition for the Summer Band Academy includes daily instruction & lunch as well as an end-of-camp family picnic/performance!
2024 Summer Band Academy Tuition Schedule:
Two-week session $200.00 (if paid by 5/31/24) / $225.00 (after 5/31/2024) (includes t-shirt)
One-week session: $100.00 (if paid by 5/31/2024) / $125.00 (after 5/31/2024) T-Shirt not included for one-week option. Please include an additional $10 if you want a shirt for the one-week session.
T-Shirts will only be guaranteed for those who pay by the early pay deadline. After 5/31/24, t-shirts will only be available if we have extras.)
The two-week session is highly preferred as students will learn a lot more if they are here both weeks. With that said, we do offer a one-week option for students who have conflicts. If you choose the one-week option, please indicate on the application whether you will be attending Week #1 or Week #2.
