UF Entomology Field Summer Camp

Students will learn how to collect insects in both terrestrial and aquatic habitats, they will take part in a Linnaean Game to test their knowledge of insects, they will complete an insect collection they get to keep, they will build a bug out of candy, learn to cook with insects, meet a scientist, dissect an insect, learn about insect communication by competing in a pheromone trail activity, compete in an insect mouthparts relay, play the insect game of life, work a live bee colony, and visit the Butterfly Rainforest. Not bad for a bug camp.
