Progressive Homeschoolers of Alachua County
Progressive Homeschoolers of Alachua County is a secular group for homeschooling families with school-aged children (younger siblings welcome). If none of your children are eligible for Kindergarten, please join us in the future.
We define progressive as committed to the raising of compassionate, conscientious children to embrace the values of social, economic, environmental and racial justice. To be explicit: In this group, we believe Black Lives Matter, women's rights are human rights, no human is illegal, science is real, there is no such thing as alternative facts, vaccines save lives, love is love, there are more than two genders and kindness is everything.
We are endeavoring to be an active organization with members who are invested in creating intentional community with other homeschool families. Our goal is to provide social opportunities and encouragement. We will offer a standing weekly park date, field trips and other events monthly. We will expect members to attend at least two park days per month. These social events are important to form meaningful relationships.
