This spring you can treat your horse-crazy child to 1, 2 or 3 days of spring break camp at Canopy Oak Trails. In outside sessions, they learn from hands on experience with the horses. Indoors, they can learn to draw horses and make crafts projects like using fabric markers to decorate a t-shirt with horsey artwork, decorate a real horseshoe or pain a miniature wooden horse. Inside and out, there will be presentations on horse breeds and colors, farriery (hoof trimming and horseshoeing), horse nutrition, horse care/grooming, tack (saddles, bridles and such), groundwork, jumping and lot's more. Campers will have the opportunity to learn a little about what it takes to own a horse by helping feed, groom, provide hoof care and tack up a horse --as well as muck stalls and clean water troughs if they like. Most campers will spend an average of 3-4 hours a day with their horse, riding twice each day. They'll learn to ride safely, under close supervision in an enclosed area before riding in larger spaces. We'll provde horses, tack, craft supplies, water and snacks.

At A Child’s Dream we also offer K-5 Camps for Vacation Weeks and School Days Off! Please be sure to contact us first to make sure we are open but most of the time we will be! During Vacation Weeks we typically go swimming two of the days and then on the other days do fun field trips and activities! On school days off we typically go on a fun field trip. Video Game Design - Has your child ever wanted to create a video game? Now they can learn how to using free software they can download at home! The software is kid friendly and they can also create worlds and stories and send the games to friends and relatives and even sell them eventually if they want to! Fun Field Trips - We’ll be doing lots of fun field trips including going to the Museum Of Natural History, Sun Country to do rock climbing and gymnastics, Swim Days where we go to a local park and swim our hearts out, The Movies, Local Parks where they can use the playground and there will be organized sports events, the Skate Station where they have rollerskating, mini golf, rock climbing, soft play, batting cages, go karts, and a video arcade, and that’s just a short listing of the cool places we’ll be going! Awesome Creative Projects – In addition to creating the video games we’ll have talent shows, comic book design, make plays and movies, story creation, and whatever other projects our imaginations can dream up! Sports Activities – Every day there will be sports activities available including Football, Soccer, Ultimate Frisbee, Kickball, Capture The Flag, Races, Dodgeball, and lots more! Art Activities – We’ll also have lots of fun art activities such as Creating Paper Airplanes, Drawing, Painting, Boat Races with boats the kids create, and many many more fun activities!

Horses + games + crafts = FUN. A great way to spend winter break!   Come join us at Dreamstone Farm camp. For those with a budding interest in horses straight through to the seasoned equestrian we offer all levels of learning about horses and riding.   Groups will be divided according to experience for morning sessions where we will focus on all things horse.   Grooming, feeding, basic horse care and of course riding will be the agenda for the a.m.   Lunches and snacks can be packed and stored in the play area refrigerator or can be ordered at the beginning of each week.   Canteen accounts may be set up for purchase of additional snacks.   Refillable water bottles will be provided for campers as a souvenir and can be filled with spring water provided by the camp to keep hydrated.   Everyday there will be a featured game, craft and movie.  Camp at Dreamstone Farm is a sure way to ride horses and have fun!

City oof Gainesville Earth Academy Spring Break Camp: The camp held at Morningside Nature Center's 278-acre nature sanctuary, is an interdisciplinary, experiential approach to teaching.   Low teacher-to-camper ratio foster children's natural curiosity and encourage an environmental ethic and appreciation of nature.   The campers love the games, crafts and hands-on activities!

Florida Museum of Natural History Playful Escapes Day Camp:School Holiday Camps are full- or half-day programs offered at the Museum. Register your child for the morning, afternoon or full day. Children explore the program topic through interactive activities, as well as the Museum’s own collections and exhibits. Students must be enrolled in grades K-5 for the 2012-2013 school year. Students should dress for outdoor activities and full-day students should bring a sack lunch.
