Youth Empowerment Day is an all-day event full of personal and professional development workshops and activities geared towards promoting a culture of leadership among 8th through 12th grade students.
The day consists of two main events; Y-lead Symposium and Leading Thru the Arts. During Y-Lead Symposium, attendees will be able to participate in a series of interactive, hand-on leadership development workshops and activities centered around four core areas; science, technology, engineering, and Mathematics. EAI invites parents/guardians to join their children for this event. Later in the day, attendees will be able to attend Leading Thru the Arts, the closing reception and cabaret. This evening of music, dance, drama, and poetry features the impressive performing arts talents of youth from STAR Center Children’s Theatre, as well as, elementary, middle, and high school students in Alahua and surrounding counties. This event is open to the public and part proceeds from the event will benefit STAR Center Children’s Theatre, a local “non-profit organization that provides arts education and performance opportunities to area youth and their families.
All attendees will leave the day feeling EMPOWERED, inspired, and motivated to improve their lives and become agents of change in their homes, schools and communities.
