Honey flavors can vary as much as, if not more than, wines. Different floral sources blooming at the time while bees are foraging and making honey, as well as the relative quantities of those sources will effect the honey flavor. Honey consistency, texture, and color will also vary from a lite creamy color to a dark amber and everything in between.
We’ll be featuring honeys from around the area (gallberry, palmetto, wildflower, tupelo and orange blossom) as well as interesting and unique varietals from other regions (sourwood, mangrove, and seagrape).
There will be a $5 cover to offset event costs as well as to benefit the venue.
