Ms. Brianna Schiavoni (a licensed counselor & coach) is offering DONATION-BASED, weekly yoga classes to any & all interested community members - all ages (13+), body types & levels of yoga experience are welcomed to attend. Monday's classes are crafted to support caregivers at the start of their week & during a lunch hour (12:15-1PM). Classes taught in the Kripalu fashion typically begin with breathing exercises (pranayama) & gentle stretches (pratapana) - the practice of poses (asana) that follows is taught in various levels of intensity to meet the needs of every BODY, after which a restorative final relaxation (savasana) is offered.
Kripalu is a gentle, hatha yoga practice with a compassionate approach & emphasis on meditation, physical healing & personal transformation. Over time, students are taught to observe their thoughts without judgment & to find their own level of practice on a given day by looking inward.
Donation-based, Kripalu classes are also being offered on Wednesday evenings (7:30-8:30PM) with Ms. Bri. A public schedule entitled 'Mindful Milestones' is maintained on Google Calendars (http://www.mindfulmilestones.org/calendar.html).
